Spotify nu med multitasking i iOS 4

Och så kom uppdateringen äntligen. Nu har Spotify släppt sin senaste version av app till iOS 4 som möjliggör stöd för multitasking. Om du uppdaterad app’en via App Store så kan du nu köra Spotify i bakgrunden och även använda de inbyggda knapparna för att byta låt, paus och volym. Ikonen för iPod byts automatiskt ut på första rutan i bottenlisten för multitasking och du kan enkelt styra Spotify på samma ställe med de dedikerade musik-knapparna. Musiken bryts automatiskt när du får ett samtal, och återupptas direkt när du lagt på.

Spotify för iOS 4 verkar fungera precis som vi hade hoppats att det skulle göra. Och jag bland många är väldigt glada att Spotify äntligen släppt uppdateringen.

We are glad to announce that an updated Spotify iPhone app has now been approved by Apple. The app now supports the latest iOS 4, multitasking and background listening. This means that whilst you listen to Spotify on the iPhone, you are also able to use other applications.*
Besides this, there are also some great new updates to the Spotify app for iPhone:
- Ability to use the headset remotely and lock-screen menu buttons to control playback in Spotify
- A new tab: ”What’s new”. This shows newly released albums, ”Top 10” of the most popular songs in your country and the social feed (Spotify status updates from Facebook, Spotify tweets on Twitter)
- Share tracks and albums with your friends directly from your iPhone, via our social features
- Improved battery consumption when paused
*Only iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch (third generation) supports multitasking and background listening, this is an Apple limitation.
